William McNamara
Actor/Producer/Director
Having studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, William McNamara in that time since has notched up over one hundred and sixty-five film and TV appearances in his career. William's first feature film role would come in acclaimed cult horror director, Dario Argento's slasher classic, Opera (also known as "Terror at the Opera"). This would soon be followed up with his role as Joel in the teen film, Dream a Little Dream, starring Corey Feldman and Corey Haim, as well as the Bette Midler film, Stella.
Once in the 90s, William - arguably - would turn out some of his most iconic performances. He would provide a memorable performance as Derek Wolfe Jr in the Ernest Dickerson manhunt thriller, Surviving the Game, in which he worked with a cast of talented veteran actors including F. Murray Abraham, Gary Busey, Rutger Hauer, and John C. McGinley. That same year he would again team up with Gary Busey (as well as Tom Berenger) in the Navy comedy, Chasers, directed by Dennis Hopper.
His most prized - and chilling - role, though, is that of the copycat killer, Peter Foley, in the sychological thriller, Copycat, starring Sigourney Weaver, Dermot Mulroney, and jazz musician Harry Connick Jr.. Closing out the decade, he appeared with Andrew McCarthy and John Stockwell in Stag, starred opposite Gabriel Byrne in the World War II drama The Brylcreem Boys (1998), and also featured among the all star ensemble of the nostalgic cult classic, Ringmaster, which included the likes of Jaime Pressly, Michael Jai White, Michael Dudikoff, Wendy Raquel Robinson, and the late Jerry Springer himself (whose talk show inspired the film).
Currently, William headlines his series, The Trouble with Billy, a new celebrity-packed, laugh-out-loud, scripted dramedy television series following 90s heartthrob Billy Mack (William McNamara) as he takes on Hollywood's chaos to stage a comeback and save his beloved dog, Boo.
When not acting, William is actually a kind spiritualist and an avid animal rights activist, putting much time, energy, and money into the plight of the dolphins and small whales off the shores of Japan. In addition William involves himself in animal rescue in general, Kundalini, and Yoga!
