James Morrison

James' film appearances include The One, Catch Me If You Can, The Jazz Funeral, Falling Down, I Am I, and Meanest Man in Texas, among many others. On television, in addition to 4 seasons on the Emmy winning drama, 24 as Bill Buchanan, and Twin Peaks: The Return as Warden Murphy, James had recurring roles on Private Practice, Revenge and Hawthorne. He starred as McQueen on FOX's cult sci-fi classic series Space: Above and Beyond and has been a guest star on such television shows as Law and Order: SVU, Law and Order, L.A., Six Feet Under, The West Wing, Frasier, Cold Case, The X-Files and dozens of others in the past 40-plus years. James has directed, written, and produced three award-winning short films, a feature-length documentary called Showing Up: A Conversation About the Audition (co-directed and produced by his wife, Riad Galayini and available to stream at www.showingupmovie.com) and has had his plays developed and produced by Sundance Institute, the Ojai Playwrights Conference, The Road Theatre, and Ensemble Studio Theatre among many others. He served his apprenticeship with the Alaska Repertory Theatre in the late 70's and has since appeared at the La Jolla Playhouse, the Mark Taper Forum, Princeton's McCarter Theatre, the Pasadena Playhouse, the Salt Lake Acting Company, The Old Globe, L.A. Theatre Works, the Edinburgh Festival (Fringe First Award), and on London's West End at the Donmar Warehouse. James has been nominated for a SAG Award (best ensemble, 24) and received the Los Angeles Drama Critics' Circle Award and three Drama-Logue Awards for performance.
